Families Learning to Teach (FLT) is our holistic family literacy program that includes education for adults, children, and youth, focusing on participatory learning, access to community resources and information, and leadership development. The defining component of FLT is a leadership development process by which parents plan, run, and evaluate creative and educational literacy activities for and with their children. This process allows children to see their parents as knowledge and capable teachers; it builds confidence among parents so that they can acquire the skills to provide educational support to their children.
